Monarch Park is located in downtown Maple Ridge. Named after the park’s British Columbian namesake, a park is a place where people can gather, work, play, and relax. Although the park’s 7-acre setting is the center of activity, there are several other important features of the park. The two main structures, the Pool and Boardwalk, are designed to bring people together. The former has a spectacular view of Mount St. George and the surrounding hills. Located on an elevated platform above the Pool, the Park’s Boardwalk is similar to a boardwalk decked out with trees. The Boardwalk encourages people to walk through its platforms and sit on benches.
