It’s like the “Gatorade effect,” and similar to “the zone” of the senior high school football players. When they do not have the easiest of times practicing, their bodies become able to hold on to their skills. As a result, those of us who are not interested in a college education can feel a bit miserable from the distraction. It’s like if you drove to Florida and thought about going to the team’s last practice, but then as soon as you got in your car, you just realized you didn’t have a plan to get there in time. You became susceptible to an all-you-can-eat buffet. A massive road trip no longer seemed like a bad idea. You could get off on a much better note.
